Development · Cloud and DevOps
Cloud and DevOps for releases that stop being scary.
Push a change, get a tested release. We set up pipelines, infrastructure and monitoring so deploys are routine and the cloud bill makes sense.
In short
What is cloud and DevOps?
Cloud and DevOps is the practice of automating how software is built, tested, deployed and run. technocity sets up CI/CD pipelines, containerises apps with Docker, writes infrastructure as code with Terraform, configures monitoring and alerts, and reviews cloud spend on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or simpler VPS hosting when that is the better fit.
Sound familiar?
The problems we solve
Deploys are manual and happen late at night
Only one person knows how the servers are set up
The cloud bill rises every month for unclear reasons
Outages are discovered by customers first
What’s included
How we can help
CI/CD setup
Automated build, test and deploy pipelines with preview environments per branch.
Infrastructure as code
Your servers, databases and networks defined in Terraform and kept in version control.
Cloud cost review
An itemised review of spend with rightsizing and architecture changes to cut waste.
Managed DevOps
Ongoing care of pipelines, patching, backups and on-call monitoring.
Timelines are typical starting points. Every project is scoped with you first.
What you get
- CI/CD pipeline with automated tests and rollbacks
- Dockerfiles and container setup for every service
- Terraform code for all infrastructure
- Monitoring dashboards, logs and alert rules
- Backup and restore procedure, tested
- Cost report with recommended savings
Tools and technology
How it works
From first call to results
Inventory everything
We document every server, service, secret and cost line you currently have.
Automate the path to production
Builds, tests and deploys move into a pipeline anyone on the team can run.
Codify infrastructure
Environments are rebuilt from Terraform so staging and production match.
Watch and tune
Monitoring and alerts go live, then we tune capacity and cost from real data.
Questions
Common questions
What does a CI/CD pipeline do?
A CI/CD pipeline automatically builds your code, runs tests and deploys it whenever changes are merged. It removes manual steps, catches errors before they reach users and makes releases small and frequent, so problems are easier to find and roll back.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Most small and mid-sized products do not need Kubernetes. A few containers on a managed service, or a well-run VPS, are simpler and cheaper to operate. Kubernetes earns its complexity when you run many services, need fine-grained scaling or have a team to maintain it.
How can we reduce our AWS or Google Cloud bill?
Cloud bills usually drop by rightsizing oversized instances, deleting idle resources, using reserved or committed pricing for steady workloads, moving cold data to cheaper storage and adding autoscaling. A cost review starts with tagging resources so every charge has a clear owner.
What is infrastructure as code?
Infrastructure as code means defining servers, networks and databases in configuration files, typically with Terraform, instead of clicking through a cloud console. Changes are reviewed like code, environments can be recreated reliably and there is a full history of who changed what.
Which cloud provider should we choose?
AWS, Google Cloud and Azure all run production workloads well. The right choice depends on your team's experience, services you need, data residency rules and existing contracts. For simple apps, a managed platform or VPS can cost far less than any of the big three.
