SEO · International SEO

International SEO for every market and language.

Selling in several countries means search engines must know which page belongs to which market. We plan the structure, implement hreflang correctly and localise pages so each market gets its own answer.

In short

What is international SEO?

How it works

From first call to results

1

Market mapping

We list target countries and languages and check where demand and revenue already come from.

2

Structure decision

We weigh ccTLDs, subdomains and subfolders against authority, cost and local trust signals.

3

Implement hreflang

Tags are generated from one source of truth so every page pair stays reciprocal.

4

Localise and launch

Pages go live per market with local keywords, currency, contact details and examples.

Questions

Common questions

What is international SEO?

International SEO is the practice of optimising a website so search engines show the correct language or country version to each user. It involves site structure decisions, hreflang tags, localised content and keyword research for each target market.

What does hreflang do?

Hreflang tells search engines which language and country each version of a page targets, so they can show the right version in each market. Every page in a set must reference all the others, including itself, or the tags may be ignored.

Is a ccTLD or a subfolder better for SEO?

A subfolder is usually the better default because all markets share one domain's authority and one technical setup. A ccTLD such as .de or .co.uk sends a strong local signal and can build trust, but each domain must earn authority separately and costs more to run.

Is translating my website enough for international SEO?

No, translation alone is rarely enough for international SEO. People in each market use different search terms, currencies, examples and units. Keyword research per market and local review of the copy matter as much as the hreflang setup.

Can one English site target several countries?

Yes, one English site can target several countries using separate pages for regions such as the UK, US and Australia, linked with hreflang. This is worth doing when prices, spelling, delivery or legal terms differ between those markets.
